Shayaan Udeshi is a young tabla player (Banaras Gharana) of 9 years from Ahmedabad, India. Having got exposure on music since he was 3 years old, he got hooked to Tabla and Indian classical music with his father. Looking at his interest and happiness in music, his parents enrolled him at Saptak School Of Music, Hindustani Classical Music schools and he is learning from Sapan Anjaria, Vinod Vaishnav.
Shayaan’s big break was to perform with other prodigy’s of the world in the famous cover song ‘Heal the World‘ as a tribute to Michael Jackson which is beautifully composed by Maati Baani. He was the youngest of the performers and hence was well noticed across the internet. The cover song has 60 Plus Million views on FaceBook, YouTube and other social media platforms.
He has performed at TedxGateway Mumbai, Tajmahal Baithak, Mumbai, India International Centre, Delhi and other places across India and won hearts of many!
He recently performed solo which was aired live on Taj Mahal Tea House online and a renowned page of Hindustani Classical Music and Everything (HCMAE). Shayaan, in his solo comprises of Uthan, badhat, kaaydas, baant, rela, tukdas and improvised tihais.
He brings surprise elements in his tabla- playing which keeps the audience thrilled and at the end of the show all charged up. With the medium of Indian classical music, Shayaan wants to spread the message of World peace.
